Tessa McIver

Born and raised in London, Tessa moved to Poland in 2004 and has grown her career in Warsaw ever since, however always with a global perspective at the forefront.

She gained her experience at international professional services organisations, such as the British Polish Chamber of Commerce and international law firm CMS, in the areas of Key Account Management, Business Development, Project Management and Event Management, before pivoting into the innovation ecosystem. She founded her own startup, and supported a number of scaleups before joining the MIT Enterprise Forum CEE acceleration programme, where she focused on helping founders to expand internationally. She currently works at Warsaw Equity Group, one of the CEE region’s leading private investment companies.

She is a regular panelist, judge and MC at tech and innovation industry events and hosts a weekly programme – StartUP with Poland.

Tessa is a graduate of the University of Bristol and the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, and also holds an Executive MBA from the Warsaw University of Technology Business School.

When not working with the CEE startup ecosystem, Tessa loves to cook, travel and have fun with her three children, husband, dog and two cats.
